Individually Managed Accounts
These are suitable for investors with over $0.5m to invest with us. An IMA is a portfolio management structure designed to meet the specific needs and requirements of an individual, family, trust, charity or institution in a tax efficient manner.
IMA portfolios usually contain a mixture of New Zealand and overseas equities, domestic and overseas fixed income securities and cash, but IMA clients can choose to invest in only one or two asset classes if they wish.
An Individual Managed Account gives clients a portfolio of assets that can be directly identified as being owned by the individual investor, in the same way as they own a houses, art or cars. This is in direct contrast to the ownership of units in a pooled fund.
Investors have tailored portfolios that are constructed on the basis of their specific investment goals.
An IMA structure allows clients to invest in a range of asset classes (i.e. balanced accounts) or a specific asset class (i.e. New Zealand equities).
